About: With this piece, I aimed to create a visual idea of what it feels like when I have anxiety or panic attacks. I feel like not enough people talk about mental health, and we need to take it more seriously. With this site, I wanted to get the viewer to understand what a mentally ill person goes through, and realize that people don’t exaggerate what they go through. To do this, I’ve added personal thoughts I’ve had when I have panic attacks and rotated all the text to make it look like the website was “broken”. I tend to think of myself as broken at times, so I purposedly designed the website to look damaged or ruined. The title “my void”, also comes from my own feelings; Whenever I’m feeling depressed, I always feel like I want to escape somewhere I can't be found and the term “void” really fits that. Lastly, the playlist I created is one composed of songs that express my emotions for when my own words can’t.
